A man walking in the northbound lane of Chumuckla Highway was struck by an SUV driven by a 46-year-old Jay woman around 12:15 a.m. Sunday and died at the scene. The driver was uninjured, and the Florida Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the crash.
